i am not a fan of button eyed, button nosed, furry, stuffed animals. that picture scarred me, those things should never get together in a group!! is that one holding a surf board??!! OH DEAR GOD!
p.s : explanation on the fear of button eyes, read neil gaiman's coraline. then you'll know what I mean. if you've already read aforementioned book, then you already know what I mean. good on ya.

Is it Hawaiian Shirt Day today then? Cool. I didn't even know, and here I am with hawaiian flowers on my shirt. (Notice that I didn't say I'm wearing an actual Hawaiian shirt - that's a fashion disaster I leave to my dad who thinks he's a Samoan.)
I would argue that hawaiian shirts are not a fashion disaster! I will be proudly wearing mine tomorrow.
awww they look so lovable, not scary at all. Do they actually belong to you? If so can you send one to me.. they are great. Maybe you should give them somewhere to surf, not in the real sea because i am sure it would chew them up and spit them out. But you could stick them in the bath.
Those remind me of the beanie baby fad. We all remember beanie babies, we were decieved into thinking that a little toy animal made by chinese laborers would someday amount to over $2,000 in value. How naive we were, now their creator is laughing all the way to the bank.
I think they're really cute. But why do you have so many? That's what worries me. One bored and restless Hawaiian shirted monkey would be fine, but that many?

Cate - you're ahead of the curve as usual. Oddly enough, so are my furry little friends, since Friday is the official HSD. Fashion disaster? Yes. That's the appeal.

Liberta - good thoughts. Maybe you can help Syar work through her button-eyed furry phobia. Unless you're a certified mental health professional though, she won't be able to pay you for your services. I'm sure one of these surfside simians would be delighted to take up residence at your "zoo" as a way of saying thanks for helping Syar learn to accept them.
Jedith - yes, the huddled mass shown here does have a certain BB look.
MEP - I also thought there was a dangerous number of them, but they assured me otherwise. And ha-ha, yes they do get a little crazy at times. Other than those two small fires and a few unsubstantiated rantings of some hysterical neighbors, I'm not seeing any real problems. Lord Of The Flies... kid's book, right? Where a nice, helpful monkey picks bugs out of another monkey's fur?
It most certainly is every friday, Jam (at least, warm-month fridays). And as promised, I'm proudly wearing one right now.
